Optimum guest room size?
As the title says, I've tried playing around with 1x1 and 1x2 tiled rooms but my staff just don't seem to clean them at all, even after I take away the beds/decor/lighting. Just want to see if anyone else has any luck with those or larger guest rooms.

much larger like 5x6 to start with... it is counter intuitive indeed (that people will prefer to go sleep with other 5-10 people but it works in game.... just put alot of beds and a few expensive lightning on the ceiling maybe a mirror thing...it gets 3-4 stars and you can charge them for alot of money and its half full most of the time
I guess if you have the space and the more expensive beds, you can go even bigger than this and use same logic and charge it much more expensive

Hmmm nerver gave the Idea of a " hostle" type before,
sounds like haveing 5-10 beds in one room could work, and would cut down on the numbers of rooms that staff needs to clean, + the amound of candles being used, sens atm im running with almost 15 single bed guestrooms and 5 private rooms, thoues are much bigger ( 2x4) and they get cleand much more offen, so I think the room size might help alittle..
well thanks for probberly sorting out my cleaning issue

Travelers prefer dormitories. Bards, adventurers need private rooms. You can make your dormitories 2x whatever length you want, and place the beds along the walls, with lighting at either end and travelers are happy. I make my private rooms 2x2. The room for the Countess, I made 2x6, because later you will need more items in a room for different people. Make sure you are using the perks ins the Inn journal for cost reduction.
