Look at your map. Just at the south east of your Inn there is a place that should appear with a blinking circle (red I think) that look like a "target". Click on this location and you'll have an option for the mission.

Once I got it I renamed my Inn "The naked Comtess" and I spamed this chef d'oeuvre in all my room. It's super class on vedeta private room :D

keep your friends close... and your enemies closer. i basically allied with the countess because it seemed the safest option since she looked dangerous and knew about the protagonist "secret". also a sambrian trade route seemed a nice yet unimportant bonus back then when i didn't know how to get town influence beyond the blue gossips.

also Mellian isn't very approachable the first time you meet her.

just saying, but i bet her griffon is less brash than her. also that being said, the couriers were (are? since it's bugged i haven't strictly finished yet) my first option in the final campaign mission. as you said, who can say no to the post office with griffons? anyways, it was them as first choice, then the knights (cuz adventurers were my target demographic) and then the aviary (cuz Martyn/Renmy). also the seers are okayish but there was something odd about them and the gildebones... well they're the gildebones, an ancap church, who can ally to that?

meilan has class issues as well as serious issues with not knowing where her accent is from. The voice actress was not great and didnt know the difference between Liverpudlian, Welsh and Scottish. For the record, griffons are associated with Wales, so it should have been Welsh, and whilst she is a good one to ally with eventually she never really fills out as a character
