Meticulous Design Achievement help (spoilers)

Just finished my second playthrough. Really enjoyed the game, but I've been having trouble with this one last achievement. The achievement guide seems to indicate that you should get it for creating the telephoto lens, but I haven't been able to get it to pop even after doing everything I can with it.

I get the canned food from the statue, open it with the can opener, eat the spam inside, use the can opener to cut out the bottom to get a tube, then put the lens on the tube, then heat it with the lit candle. That gets me the telephoto lens, but I don't get the achievement. I've done this twice now and had no luck either time.

Is there some trick to this or some additional step I'm missing? One thing that I noticed is that when I use the razor on the glasses to get the lens, it gives me the cracked lens instead of the undamaged one, but there doesn't seem to be any way to get the undamaged one (it's not sensitive to where you use the razor even in the closeup view of the item.)

Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help.

take picture of the pappers on table without lenses first then make camera straight on Vlads plan and do another picture with lenses on

Thanks! I hadn't bothered taking a bad picture on my subsequent playthroughs, but when I did so and then made the lens after that, the achievement popped!

Hi epsilon828,

We are currently looking into that issue. For the time being: combining the right items in the close-up mode should trigger the achievement every time: you need to open the can, eat the contents, attach lense (glasses + razor), use a lit candle and use the can opener again.

Same problem here. Started final chapter again and still no achievement dropped after attaching telephoto lens and taking picture. On my second attempt used the steps mentioned by Khali (dev).

EDIT: I wonder if using razor on glasses as soon as you get them cause achievement not to drop? Perhaps you have to wait to use razor on glasses only when it is time to take the picture?

EDIT 2: Finally dropped for me on third attempt.
