Missing Game Part
Here is a YT video at the actual place I'm referring to. Scroll to timeline 51:50

https://youtu.be/DkqvSpqRkHc?t=3113

When the old man gets to the log, it tips up and he jumps to the small outcropping to where the hand-holds are shown. In the actual game, however, this outcropping does NOT exist. As such, you cannot grab the memory that's up above.

This is an old video. That area got patched just after release. You have to use the falling log to get to the upper section. It's tricky and may take several attempts, but it's very doable. Tip: put the falling log on an horizontal position, then walk towards the tip and very gently scrub time until you can position yourself at the tip, and so on...

OK, I'll try it. But I've been through this section several times and have never seen a ledge or anything, even when I tipped the log vertical with me standing on its end.

I may have to do a video segment so you can see what I'm seeing. I'll also do a file integrity check just to make sure there are no issues there, also. May take awhile, since I'm currently slogging my way through the Fruit level. (Keep slipping off those darned white vines!)

It is advised to play with a controller (the experience is much better than with a keyboard). Yo have to rewind the log all the way up (2 rotations of the log) to reach the higher platforms where the collectible will be waiting for you.

Yep. I've been using the controller.

Regarding white vines, just walk following the direction of the vine, if you miss the direction by more than 45 degrees the man will fall down. The game automatically glues the character on the vine as long as you don't miss the direction more than those 45 degrees. Hope it helps you!
