Banned for using a third party program?

I tried to play using Steam the other day after the Ubisoft Connect update and got permanently suspended for 'using third party programs'.

I contacted support and got told 'permanent bans are final' and that they 'won't be responding to any further emails about this matter'.
Played for 10+ years for over 2000 hours - such a shame.
Anyone else experienced this?

Same happend played blarney world before then the next day got banned.
But I dont really care this was just alt account and game doesnt interest me that much
main account still fine

Same thing happened to me it’s bs why leave it on steam if we’re not allowed to play it on there
