[Crash] low level fatal error
Hi,

I'm currently in an elder temple where there is a "maze" and the first occurence of the glowing fruit and i'm getting a fatal error (https://imgur.com/a/CqrPUXQ) I'm also getting a message from AMD which i'll translate in english :
"The AMD software detected a timeout of the pilot on your system".
It happenned twice, roughly at the same time, when i'm collecting the shiny dust of a wall.
here's my config :
Windows 11
Intel core I5 1600K 3.9GHz
32GB RAM
AMD Radeaon RX 6700 XT

Not sure i can do something about this tbh, this is mostly a warning but any solution welcome, otherwise, i'll just wait for a patch.

Thank you,
Have a nice day

Hi, Any news on that ? At least just to know if you need any more information in order to fix the bug or if it's fine as it is ?
Any plan for the next patch ?
Hey! Sorry for the delay and that you are experiencing this.
Could you please check if all your drivers (especially the ones for the video cards) are updated? Outdated drivers caused similar crashes to some users.

No problem, you must be quite busy.
It seems to work now, i was actually up to date, so i rollbacked to a previous version, it didn't work and i reinstalled the latest driver again and now it's ok... Weird...
But thank you !

Well, it worked for 1 level but crashed again so i don't feel like reinstalling drivers after every session :(
It seems i can play around 15mn before having a crash, i closed most software on my computer.

Hi there, thanks for letting us know. Would you mind sharing your crash file so we can take a look at this issue more carefully? They should be stored in the %LocalAppData%\TheEternalCylinder\Saved\Crashes folder. You can email them to support@goodshepherd.games. Thanks in advance!

+1 Dialogue window with "Fatal error" message sometime after entering to elder cave.

This is now even worse, i have a fatal error right when i press "continue" in the main menu.
It loads the save and when i have to press enter to start the game, i have a "The UE4-TheEternalCylinder Game has crashed" with a "fatal error!" message. Not even low level now.
Should i share crash dumps on the support mail again ?

Hello there! Sorry to hear that. Please share your crash dumps with us at support@goodshepherd.games and we'll forward this to the tech team.

Meanwhile, I'd like to suggest you to check the following items on your machine:
- latest DirectX installed
- graphic card drivers updated
- enough space on HDD or SSD for the game to run

Have you, by any chance, ever tried to play the game in compatibility mode?
Thanks for your patience and kind collaboration!
BlackSoulQueen Jan 6, 2023 @ 3:14am
I Have DX12 and everything is up to date, i've tried Windows XP service pack 3 as compatibility mode and the messages pined to the forum.
I'll send a mail. thank you

Do you plan to release new patch?

Having the same-ish problem in that cave, 6700XT, latest AMD drivers (23.9.3).
Running 1440p full screen, Vsync enabled/disabled, no FSR, no RTX, MPO is disabled with regedit (Windows' setting known to cause black screen issues with either AMD or Nvidia GPUs).
Everytime at the same location, (right after jumping accross the wall behind the maze) the game starts to stutter and then black screens, forcing me to restart my computer.
Happened 6 times, 5 times I even had to reinstall my drivers because Radeon Software wasnt lauching anymore and my screen resolution was very low.
Manage to finally pass it by turning off Resizable bar, switching to DX11 (because the game would crash immediately upon selecting "continue" in DX12), cranking every settings to low and lowering the FOV.
But then I encountered the exact same problem when randomly rolling in the savanna.
Looks like the game doesnt like AMD GPUs and I guess they'll never fix this, this is the 5th and last time I've reinstalled my drivers, ill try to get a refund but i dont count on it since I've bought the game in march 2023 and played more than 2 hours.
Sad because the game looks and sounds great, with interesting gameplay mechanics.
