Any plan for the next patch ?
Could you please check if all your drivers (especially the ones for the video cards) are updated? Outdated drivers caused similar crashes to some users.
It seems to work now, i was actually up to date, so i rollbacked to a previous version, it didn't work and i reinstalled the latest driver again and now it's ok... Weird...
But thank you !
Well, it worked for 1 level but crashed again so i don't feel like reinstalling drivers after every session :(
It seems i can play around 15mn before having a crash, i closed most software on my computer.
It loads the save and when i have to press enter to start the game, i have a "The UE4-TheEternalCylinder Game has crashed" with a "fatal error!" message. Not even low level now.
Should i share crash dumps on the support mail again ?
Hello there! Sorry to hear that. Please share your crash dumps with us at support@goodshepherd.games and we'll forward this to the tech team.
Meanwhile, I'd like to suggest you to check the following items on your machine:
- latest DirectX installed
- graphic card drivers updated
- enough space on HDD or SSD for the game to run
Have you, by any chance, ever tried to play the game in compatibility mode?
Thanks for your patience and kind collaboration!
I'll send a mail. thank you
Running 1440p full screen, Vsync enabled/disabled, no FSR, no RTX, MPO is disabled with regedit (Windows' setting known to cause black screen issues with either AMD or Nvidia GPUs).
Everytime at the same location, (right after jumping accross the wall behind the maze) the game starts to stutter and then black screens, forcing me to restart my computer.
Happened 6 times, 5 times I even had to reinstall my drivers because Radeon Software wasnt lauching anymore and my screen resolution was very low.
Manage to finally pass it by turning off Resizable bar, switching to DX11 (because the game would crash immediately upon selecting "continue" in DX12), cranking every settings to low and lowering the FOV.
But then I encountered the exact same problem when randomly rolling in the savanna.
Looks like the game doesnt like AMD GPUs and I guess they'll never fix this, this is the 5th and last time I've reinstalled my drivers, ill try to get a refund but i dont count on it since I've bought the game in march 2023 and played more than 2 hours.
Sad because the game looks and sounds great, with interesting gameplay mechanics.
