Manual save

I started to play the game, made it to Act II, started progressing and decided to play something else. When I came back and reloaded the game, I was back at the start of Act 2. Is there a way to manually save the game?

Count yourself lucky, I was probably near the end of Act II before I quit, made sure I saw a saving finished before I quit, booted it backup and I'm at the start of the game >.< that's pretty killer for my motivation to keep going.

This was the Game Pass version mind you.

I'm really pissed. I made it to Act III, and accidentally pressed new game in the menu and now I have to play the game all over again.
