+1 for agreeing Macs are not computers.

Does Were Here Together support co-op play via LAN?

I can't tell if you're joking or confused as to how this game works. :P

If you could peek at your partner's screen, it would kind of defeat the challenge of any puzzles.

You are right @Misiu
Not having local co-op is kind of delibarate. The game is about solving puzzles with each other, while not necessarily being together. This game actually has a mixture of the explorers being in the same room, but also being split apart. You'll have to use your communication skills to get through the puzzles. One player has to describe symbols for example so the other can press the right switches.

I hoped for some LAN sharing game, though. Needing 2 copies + 2 Steam accounts to play this game with my gf in another room behind is just a bit too much. I got it almost for free, but being an (aged) adult I really don't enjoy games that I must play with strange annoying kids somewhere.
I appreciate the need for separation for certain puzzles, but it would've been nice to include a second mode for puzzles maybe more suited for local co op. I only suggest this because, unless you play with randomers, you essentially need to buy the game twice if a friend or loved one would like to play with you, specifically.

Fair enough.
What about remote play? The feature of Steam that 2 people can play the game, having only 1 copy? I'd love to play this with my wife, but having to buy 2 copies for that seems a bit off...

Steam remote play only works when a game has a local multiplayer mode, the We Were Here series don't, so that's why it is not included.

No local player? No lan play? That's fair enough. I got this game in Humble Choice Bundle and I would have opted out in buying this game if I had the option.
