Hey there everybody! Welcome to the We Were Here FAQ with the answers to some commonly asked questions.

🎄We Were Here Together the Demo🎄
Not sure whether or not you want to venture out to Castle Rock? In that case you might want to try out We Were Here Together the Demo! You will get to play the first chapter including the special temporary Christmas Puzzle. If you like what you saw, you can purchase the game with a neat 50% discount AND you will be able to continue your journey where you left it during the demo.
Might want to bring yourself a partner (or find one over at our Discord! https://discord.gg/z8j26uDQYH), demo players can only play with other demo players on the same platform. The Demo and the Christmas Puzzle are both available until the 26th of July.

Q: What is We Were Here Together?
The We Were Here series is a collection of first-person cooperative puzzle adventures. You and a partner take the role of Antarctic explorers who find themselves trapped in the mysterious Castle Rock, split up from each other. All you have are your walkie-talkies – can you and a partner figure out the puzzles together and discover the secrets of the castle? And can you both escape?

We Were Here Together is the third standalone game in the We Were Here series. There will be new areas of Castle Rock to explore, as well as a section outside of the castle!

Q: Are there more We Were Here games?
A: Yes! You can play the original We Were Here to get a taste for the series, enjoy the sequel We Were Here Too, or the latest game in the series: We Were Here Together! On the tenth of March 2021 we announced We Were Here Forever, don’t forget to wishlist it!

Do I need the earlier We Were Here games to play We Were Here Together?
No, We Were Here Together is a separate game, and you don’t need to own or have played any of the other We Were Here series to enjoy We Were Here Together.

Are the We Were Here games horror games?
No. While there are creepy elements to the locations, traps and puzzles of the We Were Here series, the games are not meant to scare you throughout. It is all about working together and figuring out the co-op puzzles.

How long do the WWH series games take to play?
We Were Here and We Were Here Too are probably comparable to an evening out, while We Were Here Together is longer. Of course, you can play each game again from the opposite perspective to experience the other side of the puzzles.

Q: Are the We Were Here games available on other platforms?
A: Yes, all the We Were Here games are available on Xbox (One and Series x) and PlayStation (4 and 5).

There are currently no definite plans for releases on other consoles.

Q: Will crossplay be possible?
A: Regretfully we don't see it being possible for players to match with people on other platforms.
