Some puzzles are quite complicated, but she doesn't need to be a hardcore gamer to play the game.

"Portal 2" is a great puzzle game with learn-as-you-go mechanics. It's pretty forgiving if you die, and it goes on sale a lot, so you could try looking into that maybe if you don't have 2 separate monitors for this game
