Report a translation problem
The game does have video background support, although this is actually very old code that hasn't been touched for many years, video backgrounds were actually added to PS in 2010, so this was built for video formats that were used back then, when avi's were the norm. At the time I think we seemed to get the best results from xvid encodes.
So yes it is possible to have video backgrounds but depending on what you have it may not be compatible with the original setup, it is an area that we will need to look into to see how we can get this updated for current standards.
