People are saying Harmonix is behind it. If this is the case, then I guess Phase Shift is a goner

If that’s true, I don’t see how Harmonix has a case here. Harmonix doesn’t own any of the art assets or songs/charts that are on offer for Phase Shift. If they’re worried about what other people do with the game outside of the base purchase, and what they use/make to use with the software, then that’s not on the Phase Shift devs. Every chart/custom song is essentially a mod. It’s not on the developers of Phase Shift to police what other people do with the software, but they do still discourage piracy all the same. It’d be the equivalent of dmcaing a company that made a dvd player because someone, somewhere, watched a pirated movie on it. Let’s just hope that whatever is going on, it all just works out for the best and the option comes back up.

Anyone remember the failed attempt at crowdfunding Rock Band 4 on PC from Harmonix? They didn't even bother promoting it much at all and so of course it failed. It would be really dumb if it really was them behind these problems with Phase Shift.
