hahaha yes i tried that. first time i was shooting it for a solid 5 minutes and the shields never went down. figured i didn't have enough firepower so i went back and upgraded my ship and came back to it and now i can't interact with it (including shooting it)
One of them has a shield, but even that goes down with a little bit of shooting.
Damn. is it story-ending?
But the Dev reads these boards and can probably hook you up if you send him your save?
I also was not playing on the highest difficulty, so maybe more of the stations have shields or are harder to pop if you are on Hard or something. There are plenty of higher powered weapons, so you can always come back with a ton of missiles or a superlaser or something after exploring the rest of the galaxy. Try ramming?
I assume you can take down the shields on other shielded stations?
If you really shot it for 5 minutes though, it sounds like a bug and the Dev will hopefully pop in here and notice.
Yeah I can take down the Sentinel super stations like no problem, hopefully the dev will see this because I'm loving the game and would hate to restart.
Under Windows saves are in:
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\LocalLow\Wx3 Labs, LLC\Starcom Nexus\saves
Please include the most recent *.json and *_info.json files.
Thanks!
(I haven't received the saves yet if you've sent them)
That actually used to happen to me, too, but I didn't pay much attention to it and simply reloaded. The way it went was that I either blasted the station with rockets for a long time or rammed it at high speed, and at some point it started rotating and turned "upside down" in space (so I could see the bottom of the 3D model). And indeed, further interaction was no longer possible.
Hey, I did send them! Did you give me the right address? wx3labs@gmail.com?
I see them now, for some reason gmail decided to put them in the promotional folder...
Ah, understood, no big deal! Thanks for taking a look.
