More stars?

I've currently discovered quite a few stars and when I zoom out on the map, they resemble a tilted question mark with the three Araona stars in the south as the (skewed) dot.

I have four open quests I can't make heads or tails with and nothing really left to discover.

I ended the phage but nothing else really. There was a Sentinel station but I can't find it anymore.

Are there more stars? The galaxy is huge but whenever I simply fly in one direction, I don't find any more...

There's a significant event which will unlock a larger region of the galaxy.


Have you destroyed a Sentinel Base orbiting a planet with a number of pyramids on it?

Have you completed the mission to upgrade Kite Station?

I found the station but had to flee due to lack of strength, now I'm unable to find it again. I flew through every system but never saw the red cross indicating an enemy.

I found it, finally. Was one of the more western systems.
