Step 1:
Talk to the Saurid they'll talk about a cure but not where to find it.

Step 2:
Visit the Citadel and purchase the plant they describe, only available after step 1

Step :
Talk to Pilman and research a cure

Er....Any tips on where the citiadel is?

A few hops from your home base there's a system that "forks." One path leads to the Chitik Base, the other path leads to the Citadel.

Once you find the Citadel you'll need to talk to the Ulooquo to get the password.

All good managed to figure it out, have to buy some of the random crap on the citadel for the plant to show up

Not getting the option to talk the saurid about the illness

Keep in mind that if you trigger the endgame before talking to the relevant races, you will not be able to resolve this as nobody will talk to you while the endgame events are occurring. Really annoying.

I had the issue that the science officer wanted me to deal with the phage first, once that was done i could deal with it.

Did you resolve this? Because the saurids aren't talking about it with me :/

I think you have to talk to the research guy and he tells you to go talk to some aliens, *then* you can raise it with the Saurids.

Typical murphy's law. I trip over Saurids when I don't need them. Now that I do they are all on tea break.

Didn't know that.

Had citadel already unlocked before I got the disease, talked to the Saurids and they told me about the leaf.

Decided citadel would be best place to get that, but went there and no leaf or whatever is available. I guess I'll try buying some "random crap" to see what happens.

This has to be THE most annoying thing in this game, breaks immersion so hard when you keep going back to your base to "re-fill" red shirts, like 50 of them over and over again (do they have Star Trek cloning tech as well or are breeding like Rabbits?).

Really makes you wonder how everyone is excited to volunteer for your ship ("morale" is good), despite you regularly coming back with the skeleton crew after you left with a full ship. :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

thx
morale is good for recruits because they can get away from pilman

Any useful hints on that?

Seems to be blocked or locked by some circumstances.

- no useful talk options to saurids available
- no useful talk options to any other race available
- no plants on citadel available
- no useful reseach at dragon station available
- no obvious mission in the log to deal with the phages

Just ripping away thousands of crewman....at least Dragon station has enough of them on stock. :P
