Nexus: The Jupiter Incident
Simple question is this game similar to Nexus: The Jupiter Incident?

I loved its atmoshpere of unknown and bit further in future start tech of human spaceflight and battle system. Also story..*smooches*

I was bummed to find it wasn't related to the 80s Starcom toys.

If not pretty scummy of the designer/publisher copying the style of Jupiter Incident in an attempt to lure in fans of NJE and confuse customers. That or just extremely lazy, either way not a good look to show the dev is trying to make a quality product. Screams buyer beware.

Same here. I thought the ship in the art on the Store page was a redesigned classic Bomber or something.

Is the space in the game 2D or 3D?

It's got nothing to do with the jupiter incident. It's a name similarity for a game that is completely different. And not accidentially i think.

THQ Nordic owns the Nexus IP, so I would be cautious to use such a similar naming, and art style for the logo. Companies have been sued for less.. Mojang scrolls anyone?

Copying the style? how does this[i.imgur.com] have the same style as this[i.imgur.com]? seriously, besides a blue color scheme and being set in space, those look as different to one another as both do to system shock 2.
Any "attempt to lure NJE fans" or "copying" seem to be in your head only, at least from where I'm standing.

I played Nexus: Jupiter Incident, this game has no relation to it, and Nexus: Jupiter Incident is more like Linear Storyline while Starcom: Nexus is open-world, playstyle-wise it's more like Transcendence. the word 'Nexus' appears everywhere though (*cough* Starcraft) so it's not surprising to have game with the same name.
Correct, this is nothing like Nexus Jupiter Incident which is still one of my all time fav space strategy games. If anything its more like Stardrive the first game not the crappy second one.

Starcom:Nexus is on my to buy list.
