Controls Issues (Updated)

Overall, it sounds like most players are really enjoying the game and I'm very happy to hear that. I am hearing some reports that sound like an issue with the game trying to auto-detect the input type and going to joystick/controller. The symptoms are the ship either firing uncontrollably or steering in one direction if you have a controller/joystick plugged-in.

There is now a hot-fix patch on a beta branch for players experiencing this specific issue.

To switch to the beta branch:

- In your Steam client library right-click on "Starcom: Nexus" and select "Properties".
- Go to the Betas tab
- Select beta_0_9_4 - Fix for controller auto-detect. There is no password.

If anyone has been experiencing this issue, please let me know if this addresses it, thank you!

Experiencing the same problem while only using keyboard no joystick or game pad plugged in. Seems to happen usually when fighting other ships

Strange, could you describe the symptoms? Does it autofire your weapons, control your ship or both?

Sorry I didnt realize I had a Great Planes RC Simulator Controller plugged into a USB port. I disconnected it and all working fine now

Hi, I am having the same issue. Menus just keep scrolling upwards and the ship moves forward by itself. I have experienced something like this before in e.g. The Division 1 and 2, and the fix then was to disable controller support. Is there in config-file where i can manually do this?

Yes, in options try turning off "controller auto-detect". Let me know if that doesn't fix it.

Thanks man, worked like a charm! Didn't see it at first glance due to the scrolling, but went back and managed to uncheck it. Looking forward to exploring the game now!

This problem is happening for me in the menu so there is no time to uncheck the box. Is there a setting file that can be edited?
