Can't get shields

Hi! It's my first playthrough and I haven't found the planet where the shield tech comes from anywhere. I've explored everywhere I can find and nothing! Help! :-)

Try the systems at 19.60 X -23.22 or 14.31 X -3.47
The location of "The Bubble" planet seems to be random but it was spotted in one of those systems multiple times. Be sure to search far from the sun as well, as far as I remember it was once so far out that I at first thought it belonged to another star system.
Also, the systems mentioned above seem not to be there every playtrough so if you don't find anythig at those coordinates, don't fret (the bubble should still be somewhere, just not there)

Tried all those and more, still no sign :-(

It's very random Found it near the start of one game, well past midgame of another. If you're on default difficulty, armor is quite strong. Boost the armor value first.

just keep in mind, without spoiling too mucch, at one point enemies will get access to your research and some do make extensive use of armor. I upgraded it mere moments before that and it screwed me over (in the sense of much more durable enemies, I could still defeat them, just took longer)
enemies don't seem to use shields in the same way (mainly because there are few enemies that use shields at all)
