Major Bug - CMB Signal *Edit - Console fix in comments
Stuck on the main storyline mission CMB signal. Successfully destroyed all jamming stations and received message to return. Before speaking to the good Doctor, I finished gathering all the keys as well. Now I've finally returned to Kite Station, spoken to Pilman about the keys and unlocked the sentinel research, but have no option to talk to him about the CMB signal. The mission text tells me to return and speak to Pilman, but I only have his two default dialogue options to choose from.

Edit - Worse then I thought Figured I could just fly to the Dyson Sphere, hack the sentinel, no problem. Wrong, hacking the sentinel without the CMB tech is impossible, they return a dialogue line of "being unable to connect to central network due to jamming" or some such. Jamming that shouldn't exist on account of I blew it up.

Am I screwed? Is there any sort of workaround? Console command to unlock the required tech? Over 20 hours in and REALLY don't want to start over

Please send your save to wx3labs@gmail.com and I'll take a look.

Under Windows saves are in:
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\LocalLow\Wx3 Labs, LLC\Starcom Nexus\saves

Please include the most recent *.json and *_info.json files.

Also, from the Load Game menu you can start from any previous save point.

For anyone else who runs into this, there does seem to be a potential bug where the mission log says to talk to Dr. Pilman but he gives his default response. This is not the same as him being "blocked" by another mission line.

If you experience this bug, please post in this thread so I can debug it.

There is a work around. Open the console and enter:

TellPlayer("CMB_CLEAR")

But only do so if you've confirmed that it is this specific bug.

After 66 hours I'm stuck on two quests that require I speak with Pilman to progress:

1. Key Filters says I've located enough key filters
2. CMB Signal says I've destroyed all of the stations

Pilman's initial query concerns just the phage origin, which I have not yet found, nor do I have the slightest clue where to start because it isn't listed in the Quests under Mission Log. Would that quest block discussion concerning the Key Filters or CMB Signal? The only other open quests concern the message fragments and Dyson sphere. Would either of those block Pilman from discussing other quests? Pilman's only available dialog options concern the pottery and exit the dialog.

Not sure how to confirm this is a bug but assuming it is, TellPlayer("CMB_CLEAR") returns "no return value." Pilman's dialog options do not change.

I was really enjoying it until this, but I've been wandering around in space looking for any new quests for some time now and aside from fighting off alien hordes, there seems little else to do. I'd like to give the game a thumbs up, but continuing to wander around seems like a waste of time, so I've stopped playing until I know how to proceed?

The Phage quest does block other quests.

You need to visit the phage home world which is located at the western end of the chain of systems where you first encounter them.

Thank you! Clearing the Phage Origin quest indeed freed Pilman to then talk about the CMB. I was able to finish the game. I left a review, responded to the survey and hope you write a sequel. Thanks, Again!
