You can win a key . I just got lucky and got it the second time around...

It took a while but eventually after randomly selecting cards over and over: "The dealer reveals the team's card with an extra flourish...display case slowly opens and hands the team the device...." The dealer will shutdown and say "Game temporarily closed for rebalancing." and what seems like after you've spent about 100 neutronium (luckily you can win some back to reduce the cost) the system will let you win. The Prize is indeed one of the keys.

At least this is what I experienced, just took some patience and overcoming frustration. Cheers!

I think the odd of winning the grand prize (one of the 'key') is 1/4 times 1/3 (the 2nd choices had one already revealed) i.e around 8.3% chance, but actually I found that by purposely loosing, you can earn good amount of resources this way as I think the conversion rate is much better than trading.

Always change the option you chose. E.g. if you chose option 1 and the dealer reveals option 2, you should change your pick to 3 or 4. It's called the Monty Hall problem and it's quite fascinating. Lots of good YouTube videos about it.

I think one of the items to buy at Zoar station is a probability manipulator or something like that; anyone know if that helps with the gambling planet?

it’s not scary if you don’t win. the game has two places where they sell rare items for adamantine and titanium. All have the opportunity to buy. the keys are located.

Sry for necroing, but this worked like charme, so maybe it will help others, too. Got the Special Item with only spending 20 Neutronium

1 - 3, 4 - 3 it's my lucky combination.

I tried playing the game probably 20 times and wondered what I was doing wrong. Came here and read this. Tested this strategy and got two specials in a row immediately. Hah!
Seems like there's a pattern, so if you know what the face down cards are relative to the revealed card, you can win twice in a row.

Always choose Neutroneum when it's revealed and you can go infinite.

When the revealed card isn't Neutroneum, pick a face down card and remember/note what it is to sus out the pattern.

I must have gotten lucky too. I got it on the 3rd try.

Yes.
As soon as I saw him turn a card it was obvious what to do.
It seems to be set to always win if you know this.
