Report a translation problem
First off this is just 1 person developing this game, not a team of 2, 3, or even 6 people.. It's just 1 person who is developing it... So that right there tells you something..
2. Because this is one person, remember programming in Unity takes time (just like it does in Unreal 5 or any other game engine.. And of course you do have to realize that the person is working on this hard , and is trying to get things done, but since he is only one person, and there's no one helping him, this is taking a bit longer than usual..
3. As a side note, said Developer during the pandemic took time off. And it's not that it was that he got sick either.. as he stated in some posts on t he discord, he still is working on stuff.. The last post coming out about May 3, 2024, and he';s busy working on stome stuff that will help the game (like a larger map, and the ability to "Save up your (In Game) Money to buy the mods.. But between 2020 and 2022, the Developer did hae to take a breather as game prgramming is really stressful (and believe me, it's no joke.. I don't think we would want to have the developer actually have a mental break down and have the game get discontinued if he ended up in a mental ward... But this is where the next statment comes in..
4. Because players tend to pressure the developer(s) of any game, sometimes this stress can build up on a developer be it a single developer or a group of developers.. Players are the main reason sometimes that actually hurts a game developer's development schedule.. They bug him (or her) with numberous questions, Beg and Plead with him/Her to put things in (some of which could be copyrighted and would take time to negotiate with the copyright holders of the IP, and other things, In short, the initial issue is the players putting too much stress on the developer(or Developers) and in the end, sometimes all that Bugging and nagging a developer might cause them to call it quits... And in the case of Triple A games, well sometimes you get games that are only half complete... And others are a cash grab when it comes to Triple A games.. This is of Course an Independent (Indie) game and thus there are no real time frames to get a project done by.. And sure people are also impatient..
which then bring me to the final point about the game..
5. This game is not dead, nor will it be, unless the developer says so.. Other than that, I say this.. "Wait it out.." After all just like any real life storm chaser, you can drive hundreds of miles (or in this case, program it), and in the end, yo still might not get the desired results..
So TL;DR, The game is not dead, it's not discontinued, it's still going but remember it's run by 1 Person who is programming this game.. No one is bothering to help with it, bu then this is a Game that could be ruined if too many Cooks spoil it.. and the players could spoil it too. So just wait it out and be patient... It will get here sooner or later, and when tit does, well you might come around and enjoy it in the long run...
Edited Note: I just finiehd watchign a video of a guy who loves storm chansing games and he put Storm Chasers in the "A" tier of his list.. In fact it's i the same league as Minecraft's Localized weather and storms updates, Tornado Research and Rescue and a few others, but if it is still supported by the palyers this game could go from A tier to S Tier (and to be honest, some folks are biased on some games.. We'll see what happens in the mean time..
