It would be the perfect time to release the update to take back the hype and buzz that SkaterXL took by sheer default when it comes to skateboard sims.
I want to see new things added, I want to see new levels, but above all else I want to see more involvement between the devs and the community.
I hope this is a step in the right direction, but please be a bit more transparent in your development or else it's like promising us cake that we think is baking in the oven when in reality it's not even out of the mixing bowl.
It does not make any sense to be worried about game breaking bugs and optimizations in something they're still calling an alpha (0.0.0.6 at that!), and when there's a steam beta branch feature they could utilize where players can opt into experimental builds and out of back to stable versions if things truly are broken.
Early access only works when the games get constant updates, features are tested thoroughly, and communication and feedback from with devs and players to fix and improve things along the way.
Please stop treating this like a finished game that needs feature parity with updates on consoles when it's not and it doesn't.
Patience is knowing WHEN something will happen.
At this point in time, we really haven't a clue when the update will be released. So this isn't a test of patience, it's more of a test of temperament,
All people have wanted was communication. With communication, we CAN wait, but... we DON'T even know fully what the update contains aside from a 'physics overhaul' which we haven't a clue exactly to what it means aside from the fact that you can do a darkslide. We don't even know WHEN this update is coming. When the only communication we've had from the devs for MONTHS is to go silent on Steam and whilst on Instagram telling us that the update is coming soon and it's going on almost 7 months. That's not really having patience.
It's more or less someone promising you a fancy dinner and you've been sitting at the table for hours and no one has communicated a thing to you about how much longer it will take until it's cooked.
You must be hungry af
I'm a personal/private chef in real life. It's much easier for me to relate to examples I know in real life. Good try though!
at least let us play the half cooked version of the game with our friends even a lobby of 4 skaters would be awesome, it would help keep us interested while you turn it into the most realistic skating game of all time
It's not coming out this year.
This. I get what Crea-ture is trying to do, but using the already-established early access community could help them loads with quality assurance things like optimization and bug squashing. And even with experimental features. And yeah, Steam has made it entirely too simple to do this.
I know these devs are obviously old school, but many of us who love this game come from that same background, and we could definitely help Session become the greatest skateboarding sim ever.
But I agree that patience is a virtue, and not something that's very valued or understood nowadays.
Keep up the good work, Crea-ture! We'll be here when you finally reach the update finish line!
