For starters, the Game isn't abandoned, it just runs at sloth speed because the Developers are hired under the woke policy instead of gaining some true talent who knows what they are doing.
Also, Skate 4 will 100% not kill what's left of Session. Skate is a full blown Arcade Game, which Session is a Sim. Completely different kettle of fish. I used to love Arcade Skating Games. Then I grew up.
Personally with a couple hundred hours in both skater xl and session, even more if i add the time from consoles, I'm gonna have no issue never playing Session again when skate releases. Sessions whole true stance system is biased towards regular stance even if you set your skater as goofy and that whole control scheme is wildly inconsistent. Even if skate. is arcadey, someone like me who prefers to make realistic edits, and flow around, will prefer that. Because everything the footage shows me is that it looks realistic enough. The controls don't matter as much, especially not an inconsistent one such as Session's.
