yeah, im not really looking forward to trying to session one of the FEW realistic and or IRL spots in the game.
then having to switch servers because thats the place somebody wants to build their giant sky tower in the only place people want to session realistically.
its also gonna be single stick controls like the OG games. not to mention it being afree game.
they will not be able to stop people from drawing the N word and swastikas in the sky.
it was managable in SXL because they could ban accounts. and pirated copies dont play on the updated versions.
but, free, boyo i have like a dozen emails i could use for EA accounts.
this is not my game if i wanted arcade ill just go tony hawk to be honest. im not hating on the game just not my thing thats all
As for the "arcadey" comments, yeah Skate 3 was pretty arcadey, but still had good elements of realism for the time, especially compared to Tony Hawk games. But to be honest, Skate 1 and 2 had pretty damn realistic environments and styles for the time. A lot of diehards consider Skate 2 to be the best game in terms of realism.
As for this game being arcadey, we'll just have to wait and see ourselves to experience it
Oh really? You can get that from what I stated that it's Arcadey? That I've never played one? Lol. Skate 3 was my thing. So yes, I have played one, Hundreds of Hours in fact, and yes it's Arcadey.
Back then, yes it was "Realistic" however times changed, and now, the Stick Control that we have in Session, is now far superior in providing a more realistic sensation than Skates Stick'n'Flick, [and yes the New Skate also has Stick'n'Flick].
There-fore, it's more Arcadey then Session before we even lay our hands on it.
Infact, this Game was created by someone who was inspired by Skates Control Scheme, so they applied it to a Tricking Game. At first when I read that, I wouldn't ever think that the Controls would feel the same, but after playing it, I can definitely see the resemblance, it 100% brought back memories of Trick Combos and how they are performed.

Sooooo if a NON Skateboard Game, can replicate the control sensation of "Skate 3's Controls" then Skate actually didn't offer any authentic "feeling" to it, and was only deemed more Realistic due to a Development Team turning the page and providing something different and a little more complex compared to the Skating Market that was around during that time.
EDIT:
If people are interested in Tricking, this Game is Free =] and personally I do enjoy playing it as "Realism" is what I tend to look for in all Games.
I was contemplating doing some Tutorials on Tricks, did this Test Video I started messing around with, so if anyone downloads the Game, here is a really simple Combo to try.

The Tricks can become quite Challenging though, and frustrating at times trying to land them.
looks floaty AF too
Not floaty at all, it is Animation based, not Physics based, so you are not performing Tricks by controlling the physics. The Gameplay is focused on doing your Combo's at the correct Speed and time.

Also, the Game has been Free to Play for over 2 years now, so not bad for a single person. There are many F2P Games which are highly successful and lasting that don't contain any Microtransactions.
You just play the wrong Genre's to find such gems I guess.
