Yet, not one person has been able to give me valid evidence to suggest the physics engine conflicts with being able to implement Open Lobby Freeskate. If anything, I've read the opposite.
The original developers (before purchased by Nanco) made promises of adding Open Lobby Freeskate, they even SWITCHED ENGINES to move in the right direction for doing so.
And here we are, the new company falls back on the promises of the starter-company with lazy claims that they can't do it at all. We all know that isnt true, at least the halfway-smart ones of the community do.
Its frustrating to see people given up on this being added, and those who speak for themselves claiming that no one cares for it to be added. Nanco is losing money by not implementing OLF, they would have a SUBSTANTIAL amount of new players by adding it. I personally would be able to get 4 different people to purchase this game if they knew it had OLF, as thats the only reason they wouldn't purchase it in the first place.
Please get your ♥♥♥♥ together Nanco, its disappointing to see such a promising game filled with so much potential fall down the cash-grab route. No one wants Ninja Turtles.
Transition Skating and Open Lobby Freeskate should be top priorities.
New animator got hired on the dev team, so a few of those stiff trick animations will def get cleaned up
As for the game itself I don't really give a ♥♥♥♥ about online, I can play Skater XL or THUG Pro for that. It would be cool sure, but online isn't some necessity that EA or people think is required for every game.
they also released version 1.0... lets see how it goes with the new staff. lol
You're speaking for yourself here man. Really
A lot of people want Open Lobby Freeskate. I personally would be able to get 4 people to purchase this game if not for the lack of Multiplayer. They wont buy it because they don't want to get bored skating alone, theres plenty of people out there who don't play video games by themselves, exclusively. I'd literally be one of them if it wasnt for this game only.
Beyond my personal experience I also see a lot of parallel feedback on Reddit, Youtube, Twitter, and the Steam Forums; the question of multiplayer has maintained relevance since the start of the game (2019) for a reason. Because people want it.
This game is stylish and provides many venues of personal expression, so theres no question as to why people want to be able to session with their friends in game. Showing off outfits, decks, tricks, lines, skate spots, etc. Not to mention all the ways to collaboratively skate or even competitively skate. Online Freeskate is an untapped gold mine.
as for just freeskating i wouldnt really care, doesnt make much difference to me but not knocking it for people who want it, i would prefer they would work on vert/grabs tricks instead.
I can confirm that it not having multiplayer is a deal-breaker for me. I was considering buying it until I saw it didn't have online play.
Im not saying people dont want a transition-skating overhaul, but there probably isnt anyone holding out on BUYING this game for the lack thereof. That isnt the case for Open Lobby Freeskate. Lots of people are keeping a watchful eye for when they add it (Literally see the above comment).
New players = New Money.
More Money = More resources
More Resources = More attention on different issues; Such as transition.
When I propagate for Open Lobby Freeskate, I'm advocating for more than just being able to skate with my friends. I'm advocating for the overall success and longevity of the game.
Damn, it's almost a year and not much really changed on upping the transition physics that were scrapped just before release, with the promise on delivering them later.
Multiplayer might bring in a lot of new players but that could also be just short lived if the multiplayer gameplay is meh.
you are more likely to sell bongwater to turtles as champagne...
which indeed is very fine irony, as those devs once more have shown, subliminally I guess, where this game is headed to...down the drain and into the sewers
´nuff said...
also, the company is called NACON
if not, its likely to assume the devs cant either....keep in mind, modders got sxl online before the devs did.
