cannot do manuals

i feel so confused. its so sensitive. i cant do a manual without it going into a jumping stance no matter how soft i do it. is there a trick or am i just going this all wrong? thanks

ps5. i checked to see if my sticks were messed up but they seem to be responding fine in a diagnostic tool. it just feels like it chooses when it likes to manual and not. i'll push the stick halfway and it just doesnt like it

i feel your pain, im on pc and i used to play on a different controller till it broke.

some controllers do just make it way harder than need be. maybe the game needs a manual reset option like grinds or something?

Half way down as said by COffeBean is the way to go.
The steam guide for larger manual input may or may not be usefull,as it tweaks the core gameplay features, it may break other things. Just beware while you test it.

I have the same issue; the slightest tap goes into a crouch. it's extremely far from halfway. maybe it's a bug?

i tried making these adjustments and still can't do it. i just go straight into the crouch every time even when i'm only slightly pulling down. pulling down halfway as instructed and insufferably repeated by people here does not work. looking at the sensitivity of my controller in durazno shows that the inputs are fine. something is wrong with the game as far as i can tell.

i just ordered an xbox one controller. hope it makes this game playable.

No Release. Change grinds to this option, if you have it on full release or partial release it means you must fully release and let the stick center before you input manual control, giving you an incredibly short window to input the trick. I played for a long time without this setting then randomly used it and could not do any manuals like I used to.

i'll try that. the problem is literally the controller tho because i tried on steam deck and i can manual fine. i wish it supported cloud saves tho.

i was going to ask you what your set up was-im only running on my deck ,i must be the RL worst skater out there (it goes without saying you wont be finding me on a board anytime) but i think the decks controls do make sesion a fairly easy to get used to game,controls are responsive but not to the exagerated anoying point your PC pad is having. i have a third party xbox one pad that i used to use with my gaming laptop and i had no end of trouble with the movement on that one.

i'm gonna be big mad if my xbox one controller that i bought specifically for this game doesn't work for manuals. so far i've only been using an off brand 360 controller that works perfectly fine for every other game and i checked the inputs and halfway down on the stick is definitely halfway down on the stick. i wish this game worked better.

my xbox one controller still hasn't arrived but i plugged in a wired switch controller and it works fine. i'll probably use the xbox controller when it arrives but it's good to know that switch works.
