also i like session and will play the s.hit out of it when 1.0 drops
but yeah sad to see the cuts
(..you drooling drama-queen. No one in any of the 'skating camps' have missed out a single post or tweet Zellah have made)
don't get me wrong, this game is just a must have, that's absolutely why I'm disappointed with this brutal cut to rush the release, like it was done with SXL... I thought these guys had more integrity.
I mean I really love this game, and further updates would be really nice it has it's potential, fingers crossed
As every release this far have been 'opened' around a minute of it's release, and the reason not everything found in the files have been leaked, is due to a 'We dig through your files, but will not 'publicly' tell what we found' mutual policy in the community.
Yes no June update actually sucks!
Mostly since they waved their flyer proudly showing the roadmap.. and running over the roadmap before it's stage 2, of the 3 mentioned.
On the other hand you/we already bought the game, and will get the 1.0 earlier than we expected/hoped, so lets pretend the 1.0 is a well polished update, before they manage to add more goodies post launch? ..at least that's what I'm pretending currently.. while playing a truck sim instead.
It's silly for them to 'hide' code in early access. The whole point of Early Access is to show us a completed game with the help of the community to test and suggest features BEFORE it reaches retail. They are treating Session as if it's already a finished game to where they're trying to hide the content of DLC, but it's not even a finished game and they're hiding the content of updates regarding an actual finished game.
They've gotten enough feedback during the many years it's been in the making (I weren't around for the Kickstarter times, so hadn't even heard about it before it were announced as Early Access, while I were just playing SXL)
They also have their own goals and ideas.. that hopefully comes after 1.0 if it sells enough.
Hiding 'code' in itself is not the thing.. more like 'hiding' brands and pros that aren't finalized, animations that (obviously didn't all make it to 1.0).. that still are in the game, while not being fully past 'legal department'.
Skipping a June release they had announced is sadly a lot because they would have to put half the team on removing everything 'not yet to be public due to not finished' that one earlier could dig around and find, and make sure it were almost free of bugs, while removing all the 'uncertains' as hiding isn't that easy and would mess up as much as temporary remove it.
If someone haven't given them their feedback by now, it's pretty certain too late for it for 1.0 release anyway, or thought about and mentioned several times already.
I would agree with you if it weren't things like the resolution bug STILL being present in the game since the 0.0.0.2b and the fact that the game physics is STILL tied to the framerate and a plethora of other small bugs they could have simply tackled but Crea-ture wants to work backwards and push for big features as to not miss deadline while still shipping out a V1 to retail with the SAME BUGS it had in Beta.
If it 'fails' on the consoles, they must start to think that every current skate-game dev actually hates them, and probably would personally come home to them at night and set their console on fire, while cursing at their puppy.
(I only read a few descriptions/complaints on how the last update messed up the performance on the older xboxes a lot, from console users. But heck, It's about as 'easy' to get a PS5 as it is to get a 3090 card, for just the price of a decent car and the loss of just one kidney, and that with quite good timing too)
nothing is promised...it reads "possible" as in "if the sales don't reach the numbers we expect you can go and eat sh.." best, NACON
cutting that update on the premise that something needs to be hidden is just showing their incompetence...didn't know that 3 months ago when that roadmap finally made it to the steam forum? Pushing for bloody console release is also a big red flag for me... There's so much stuff still unadressed, like proper goofy stance, trickname display etc. etc. I highly doubt it will be a successful launch.
I don't know how the hell they are planning on fixing issues in a few months that they couldn't fix given years since 0.2b.
uhm, sorry Drakk, seems your thread got hijacked...that game sure looks promising
It IS promised.. not for how long and how much, as sales will probably decide that.. who knows, they might just release a pants DLC 2 years from now.
But post 1.0 development IS promised (good pants are also kinda promised at 1.0, so that DLC wouldn't be needed)
