Session: Skate Sim
Controls sucks
It s not "realistic" at all, it just annoying
we used to have as much, if not better control on PS1 (trasher )
I say better, because it was less random, and you could still do what you wanted to do,

Here i just can't handle it, and turning with back key ? stupid cam ?

What does this form of control brings ? Any precision or else ?
People can't even do a 360° clean ... and then we are talking the speed of flips ?
LOL.

Some people really need to stop thinking that "not what I'm used to" and "awful" are one and the same. If the game is too hard, there's plenty of option to make your experience easier" front/back foot, autocatch and casual grinds might do wonders for some. It's just not EA skate controls, obviously. Get accustomed to the game and adjust setting according to your skill.

And why do they think the devs will put sales over their vision of a skateboarding Sim, no matter what? It's apparent that creature or nacon don't expect the game to do Tony Hawk like sales. It's obviously a niche game developed by a small team.

I've completed the missions. The non legacy controls just suck. The setup in Skater XL is much better. They have the triggers just like Session but with the legacy controls so they give the user the freedom to choose.

Honest question: What is it about SESSION that makes you want to play it (over SkaterXL) if the whole control scheme, the most unique thing about SESSION, "just suck" . Seems like SXL is the game more to your liking.

He's a troll. Session and XL controls are essentially identical except the switch/fakie controls
I prefer the legacy controls. The default are too convoluted and the stance switching is confusing. It's just too much to keep track of and worry about. I rather just have those simpler legacy controls so I can focus on the skating and pulling off tricks. I gave it a honest try but I just don't find it enjoyable or add anything to the game.

A shame they removed them because the game just immediately became not for me and I kickstarted it too. Guess I'll just played skate 2 until the new one comes out.

That is where front/back foot rather than left/right foot might make the game more enjoyable for you. Did you give this a try?

And, plz correct me if I'm mistaken, but wasn't the "one stick, one foot" approach already exactly what they were going for back on Kickstarter? Wasn't this what made their approach unique to previous skate games?
Yeah. You also have to keep in mind that hearing about these controls then actually using them can give different reactions too. "I'll give it a shot" and when it feels really awkward and not fun it was a bummer but I had legacy to fall back on, which I thought was a good addition. Now that legacy is gone I'm stuck with a control scheme that sounded kinda interesting but ended up being not for me.

This. Try playing Skater XL. They have the exact same controls + Legacy. So you can steer with the triggers or the thumbstick.

Its funny how these guys keep saying "OOOOOOHHH if you dont' like the controls then GIT GOOD/you suck"

No I actually am pretty good with the controls in Session. I just prefer Legacy since I like being able to play with a simplified setup.

Now I have to go to Skater XL to get my legacy control fix.
