Cant go pass switch manual tutorial

I've been Session on PS5 for the past half hour and I got to second tutorial mission.
Seriously, I tried everything - starting from switch position, reverting from goofy while skating towards the oval spot, 180 in the air to switch, both normal manual and nose.
And nothing - still cant complete switch manual part of the second tutorial mission.

Any pointers?

For that bit you've gotta drop off the edge of the pad while in manual for it to count (should, honestly the missions are screwed all over the place) If you're popping out it won't count it.

I was stuck on this too, what worked for me was popping out of the manual at the end of the pad

Thx man, that was the problem. But it only worked in certain spot of the pad :D

Such an awful mission, I'm stuck too and it just feels broken, why start the game and make the first few missions impossible, I'm still within my refund window so I might just bail on this game.

Switch literally just means switching foot positions. So if you're right foot is front you need to switch the right foot to the back. You can switch by double tapping L2 or R2.

2 years later, new player here, also stuck.

Y'know, this would be fixed by instead of having words, having like, a little video of a hand doing the inputs, this is a tutorial, please show it to me so i can repeat it physically, thats also how you learn to skate in my experience, monkey see monkey do monkey learn.

Yeah as a non skater button press text would help me out a ton. I really like the skating but only can get into free skating at this point. I don’t want to go to the shop to buy a shirt or go travel 300 meters to go do drills every few minutes.

double tap the y/triangle button when you drop down your board. I will automatically put you in switch
