how did you manage to make the game worse?
no wonder easy day doesn't have to worry about giving XL players updates, they don't have any competition. smh

Is there any ofter 'feedback' here?

well, what you´d like to read?

that goofy stance is still goofy? go ahead, do a nollie hardflip and tell me it looks right...

activate the trick display, do some 180/360 inward/varial flips and be astounded that these still register as unspun tricks, same for anything larger than 360°...this is just lazy.

not sure if it´s all the physics based stuff I activated but my char is having regular seizures now and occasionally explodes, certain areas act like a magnet, making it impossible to gain speed unless you reset on the spot, which ruins any line you carefully came up with.

saturation and lighting changed - kinda 50/50 on that depending on the location

the skating experience, outside of just carving around is, more or less, still the same spray and pray kind of curb/rail attacking MO...it still does a noseblunt for a (over)crooked and vice versa or simply does not connect at all, or sometimes does so "with a vengeance" (looks good tbh)...unless I go, in my case unusually, slow...where´s the fun in that -meh-
still unable to get out of darkslides reliably (or at all)

at times, no boardcontrol after an ollie, controls in general, to me, feel more unresponsive now, which is a big no-no given that the game has quite complicated controls which need to be chained together rather rapidly to yield the result you want
while doing an ollie over some small obstacles, it warps along the surfacemesh, board first and the char lagging behind

killed off all the progress - minor grievance to some, but with regards to new apparel added this is just another stupid implementation...where´s that magic button to get instant access? I cannot be bothered to run all those errands again if there are even more bugs introduced that prevents one from doing so in an hour.

new maps...hmmm...a virtual refusepile called FDR with bowls and other unusable stuff with copings on it...looks nice and is fun for some air tricks but that is it (to me and for now, did not spent hours there so far and perhaps I simply do not know how to skate that stuff)
some superkink-bank combo that one can skate in <30 seconds end2end...I actually wandered around there for a few minutes until I realized that there is nothing more, must be the smallest map I have seen this millenium - lol...it looks very nice however.

new camera options are good and helpful, nothing to argue there - well done.
while rolling around has a nicer feel, the turnrate while stopped or going very slow is bonkers fast...so fast in fact, I cannot line up to anything, gotta get off and on the board again to do so - did not find a slider to adjust that, I either missed it or it is missing - a very minor grievance tbh.

Pedestrians...tsehehe..."cheer"...they really like to get in the way, nice added randomness for just rolling around and doing easy tricks and random lines etc. - should add in scooterkids as boss-mobs at parks a.s.a.p.

I do see progress - imho does not reflect the amount of time passed since the prior update (not saying we got 100% of what has been done so far, keep that in mind)- all the while it lacks more elsewhere now...did not really gain that much overall - there is nothing "massive" about this update except the 16gb of diskspace it requires (yeah, I ran out of diskspace and had to delete stuff, farewell meeples)

does boardwear still work? my graphics are still there after about 2-3h IRL shredding&sliding

tl,dr: not as advertised, certainly "off road" with regards to the provided map, on a scale 0-10, it had a 5.0 pre update and now I´ll give it a 6.5...about 0.5 short of me changing my review..."almost"
babysteps...gotta crank it up if they really plan on going 1.0 in winter 22...
I´d really like Session to be "yeah right!" - make it so!

However it is not even a game, there is no objectives. All other sim GAMES have that, the good ones at least. They have a good core, and nothing built upon that.

is does have challenges, just not many. nobody was asking for a game with a story mode and skate was never advertised or said anything about a story mod. Session on the other hand, has advertised themselves as a skateboard simulator....that doesn't simulate. lol

LOL you mean the tutorial trick challenges? Session has not been launched yet, its core is not fully implemented because they don't want to launch something that looks like a beta. SXL is "fully" implemented. Simulation is moon skating. Transition exists but sucks, it is pretty bad actually. And without the community the game would be dead already. Session already simulates street skating way better than SXL, primos, caspers and advanced tricks are built in. I don't have to put any XXL mods to do it so. So your point about transition is no valid when it comes to street skating because sessions has more features as well. A game that is not a game and can't be good unless the community is fully participating is never better than a game that is good by itself and it's not even finished. Come on. Stop being a fan boy and demand easy day studios to do a proper game instead of redirecting your anger towards the better game that took more than 50% of the SXL players in the last month. This information is also public on steamcharts.

typically games do thrive off the mods created for them, GTA would be exhibit A. Session has been modded, and has a stats menu, and is still garbage. Just sayin. So what is sessions story mode beyond a fancy trick tutorial? lol because that's exactly what it is.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you trippin. GTA has the biggest budget in the history of games and without the mods still one of the best games ever made even tho I don't enjoy it much. You don't need to mod session at all and is still better than SXL bro. In every single game design aspect of it. ALSO, if you skateboard in real life you'd know skateboard is not about popping up in a random skatepark and doing 720 double flips in moon gravity. So as a SKATEBOARDING simulator, session capture way more it's essence in the story mode. Sorry you have no valid points

I just had a chance to play the new update. I was mortified that there would be no noticeable changes, but to my delight I was wrong!!! This latest version of Session proves that that game is headed in the right direction. I noticed the changes in board control & physics immediately. Everything here is on track to become the next rightful king of skateboarding games.

catch some sick air did ya? those flailing arms are on point aren't they? or how about when you go to pop and your dude just says nahhhhhh and bails..but without really bailing, just hyper spawns next to the board. this version should have never been released
