Considering the progress of this slow dev team you won't have multiplayer for another 2 years. Since they do not have scheduled updates and notifications like any other respectable EA indie studio, we do not know anything about where the game is at right now. The last update which broke the physics and gave us one map that looks like someone through it together in 2 days, took creature about 1 year to release. This however only because their fans pressured them to do so. Also instead of fixing the game they seem to be working on getting their broken demo onto XBOX atm, but this is me just speculating due to the instagram post they made. At this point I'd advise anyone to pass on this game. I think Skater XL is a far better game right now but it does require mods. Session has no dedicated modding community and honestly I am not surprised since the development is extremely slow and devs do not seem to care to inform their audience about what they are doing and what the roadmap looks like. This makes it impossible for modders to do anything as they may feel like their work could be diminished with an unforseen update.
Yes it's Early Access and people beat that horse to death, and use that as an excuse to ride the collective D , rather than understand that any consumer that PAID MONEY for a game has a right to criticize. I'm not saying the game is terrible or that things have to be done quickly, but I don't have any incentive to come back or even recommend the game to friends or anyone else if every time I come by to check on the game, it's buggy and broken, and there's still no word of what's being done. It's feeling like this is the norm for these devs. Spend a year or more to release a significant patch and only communicate on other platforms that have nothing to do with where we purchased the game. I'm starting to repeat myself. I guess I can only say the same thing so many times in so many different ways.. Regardless. Some communication would go a long way. It's lazy as hell to not bother to post on Steam about what's being worked on or when we can expect any significant change.
Compare that to some of the other developers that outright refuse to communicate what their next steps or implentations are and just keep it vague with "lots to come for bigger picture".
The cool kids that say a few incendiary remarks to piss people off and dismiss legitimate criticism of not even the game itself, but communication, are the same people that whine when things don't go their way everywhere else. Loving the toxicity, implying that someone is uneducated or worse, for simply asking for more communication on the platform that the game was RELEASED ON. It's like you read a few words but don't actually comprehend what you're reading. The tard that said "Y'all too lazy to look something up on discord.." Typical corporate bootlicker. Blame the consumer instead of saying.. hmmm... the devs are too lazy to post ANY of the things they do on twitter or discord, here on Steam. You have things a bit backwards, kiddo. What kind of loser do you have to be though, to insult people for a respectful, well thought out and well typed post? Nobody else insulted people. Didn't even insult the devs, but obviously the mods don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about the community here, or else people insulting others for their opinions wouldn't be tolerated. which further proves my point that community management on steam is pretty much zero. Typical of the little childrens playing their favorite game, that any and all criticism that they don't like or agree with has to be met with insults, when they clearly aren't even comprehending what they're reading. I don't get it. Keep being toxic though. What goes around comes around. I don't think it's too crazy to ask for more regular communcation on Steam. One little post every 2 months or longer on STEAM. just doesn't cut it.
That would require him to plugin a Controller in an USB Slot. Hard Stuff if its alread hard to read Road map.
Typical of today's youth, though. "I don't agree with you, but rather than respectfully disagree, I'm going to insult you and ridicule you and downright bully you into not speaking out against my opinion." You do realize that's exactly what you're doing, right? What I'm having a very hard time understanding is WHY you would be against the developers of a game they released on Steam, posting news about their game ON STEAM? WHY is that such a bad thing for you kids to even consider? You're so focused on what you consider, you being "correct", that you're LITERALLY arguing against more communication on other platforms other than the one you use the most. How is that logical? Are we living in the Twilight Zone? I'm asking for more communication on Steam, and the response I get from people that have literally NOTHING to do with the game or communication within the game, is that Discord exists and I'm a crybaby, so I should just stop having opinions on things. How does that make any sense? I don't care about mods.
I play too many things to go looking around for a bunch of different information from different sources. I look on steam and see if anything pops up on my news feed. Easy. Simple. This is just the modern version of kids commenting "FIRST!" on youtube. You feel like you're at ground zero. In before the game blows up so you'll defend every aspect of the game and the devs no matter what. Ride or die. The fact that you said, my wanting communication on the platform I bought the game, isn't criticism tells me everything I need to know about you being a mental midget. Any time someone pays money for a product, they have every right to criticize said product. Period. To dismiss something so simple is beyond close minded. When someone explains the same thing several different ways, and you respond in a matter that suggests that you realllly don't understand the criticism, it's time to stop. Go back to school. Read a book. I'm literally repeating myself over and over, and it's beyond annoying, because I know that no matter what I say, you're just going to deny deny deny. Good thing you don't work for Creature, or that would be very bad.
Lastly, the comparison to SkaterXL, cements your D riding status. Who even mentioned SkaterXL? You can't compare the two beyond that they're both skateboarding games with thumbstick controls. You're saying SkaterXL only releases mods and tools and whatnot, but Creature took more than a year for a single update.. So comparing SkaterXL's more polished gameplay to a game that takes a year to release a broken buggy mess, isn't really fair. They need a LOT more time till they get something that I would consider "better". That's just MY opinion, but it is a fact that SkaterXL is in a better state right now than Session. No comparison. I don't have half the issues in SkaterXL that I do in Session, and that's not a big deal. Creature just needs more time. Hopefully less now that they have a publisher. It's NOT crazy to ask for someone to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ COPY AND PASTE news into Steam so people can have it on their Steam feed. I'm done posting here though. So I'll stoop down to the child level that you kids are on, and say that I'm rubber and you're glue, whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks to you. You're the crybaby. If I have to come back here and educate you kids any further on the concept of opinions and common sense, I'm going to have to start charging. I'm no longer going to educate you for free.
