Flip and Scoop Speed in complex tricks
Hi guys!

How do you guys control the rotation speed of ''complex'' tricks like a tre-flip? sometimes it's fast sometimes it's slow.

What really matters?
The actual speed/arc length at which I 'scoop' the stick?
Or is it just the 'flip' speed/direction that determines the whole thing?
Or perhaps the 'timing' between the sticks?

I don't get it.
They work as expected when just scooping or flipping

basically, if you are on "normal" scoop and not "small" then the back foot needs to move a quarter of a circle for the board to do a 180 degree rotation, like in a shuvit or a varial kickflip. If you wanna do a tre flip instead of a varial, then you scoop half a circle. Also, all "scoop" orientation begins from either 12 o'clock or 6 o'clock depending on stance. I noticed myself starting in the corners a lot at first, so that might be your issue. If you dont wanna scoop 180 rotation switching to the small setting lets you use 1/4 and 1/8 for the scoop instead. Play with your settings and see what you feel comfortable with, so long as you keep continuous rotation and manual catch on ;)

Thanks for your reply!
I actually have no issue in pulling off the trick that I want except I can't control how fast I do it.
For instance I saw I can do a slow 360 flip or a fast one. how do you input those 2 variations?
I've tried all combinations of settings, playing with speed/arc length etc.
I've tried to be more gentle on the stick and tried snapping them.
Still the 360 flip that comes out sometimes is fast, sometimes is slow.
I should have explained better in my description, my bad.
can you control for instance how fast you perform a 360 flip? if so, how?
Help is appreciated :-)
