If I was going to buy a gamepad, just for Session, which would you reccommend?
I'm using a switch pro controller right now, and it doesn't have analog triggers, so I'd like to get something else for better spin control. I'm a KB/Mouse and joystick/flightsim user mostly, so I don't really keep up with the latest and greatest gamepads. Thanks for your advice!

the best choice for pc gaming with gamepad is the xbone controller imo

Probably a standard xbox one controller should work haven't played yet dog sitting. But I think a standard xbox one has analog triggers. Could be wrong.

My recommendation would be to get an OG Xbox 360 wired gamepad. It will work with everything out of the box, will never need batteries or stop working in the middle of a game, won't have significant input lag, and... most importantly, won't break the bank as it only costs ~30 for a brand new one. The one I have is also the very first one I bought and I always go back to it when one of the new peripherals fails...

xbox 360 all the way, better quality that ONE controllers, the triggers feel nicer too

Didn't know the 360 had analog triggers if that's the case then I highly suggest those compared to the xbone controller especially wired for cheap.

Basically all controllers have analog triggers except for the switch pro controller.

That's good to know wonder why switch is a odd man out?

Who knows, guess they thought more precise control wasn't a good idea.

amazon basics has a wired xbone controller that is identical to the oem for 15$
I'm giving out a warning for the cheap xbox 360 controller copies on amazon that go for around 16-20 dollars, varying in name but are essentially all from the same factory. I bought one of those specifically for session on pc and ea skate on xbox 360. The big problem with these cheap controllers is that the sticks wont let you do manuals - the stick has no "in-between" reaction.
This makes the controller almost useless for those types of games (although they are perfectly alright for others games if 20 bucks is all you have)
My tip is the xbox 360 wired controller, as has already been said.
The newer xbox one controller feels so much cheaper imho and cost way more

Xbox One controller honestly is your best bet. Pretty much any controller supported game on Steam will support an Xbox controller. It just works.

Yep, my Xbox One controller feels great, and it is wireless.

Great thanks a lot everyone. Going with Xbox 360 wired since I don't have Bluetooth on my PC.

You can get a cheap USB bluetooth adapter for your computer for like $20, that's what I did.

I'm gonna go against the grain and recommend a PS4 controller. Solely because you can make it emulate a Steam Controller and use the touchpad in the middle for other stuff. Super useful to put non-game based stuff on there like a play/pause function for your music etc.

Just make sure to turn on its support in big picture mode of Steam.
