Tips for Popping out of a tailslide?
Hi guys, trying to figure out how to pop out of a tail slide without flipping and spinning my board...

I get in the tail, bring the back foot stick straight down and then bring the front foot straight up but i keep flipping and doing like laser flips out.

Any tips for just popping out consistently?

I've only managed to pop and spin out of 5-0's consistently, still trying to figure out how to do something like a tailslide 270 lol

I think i figured it out for backside tail slides

get into a bs tailslide, then keep your back foot where it is and bring your front foot to do a heelflip. it works for me, i guess lol

same goes for frontside, but instead of heelflip you do a kickflip.

i think since your board is sideways you have to flick it relative to the board and not your feet?

With most grinds and slides. Land in the slide, let go of the sticks so they center, then pop out like a normal Ollie.

For tail and nose slides, I've been locking in the foot for the slide and when I want to pop out, move the other stick in the opposite direction. Example: If you push the left stick left for a nose slide, push the right stick right to pop out.

so, this is why you need to activate trick relative input in the grind settings

for me when i get into tail slies. lets say goofy b/s/ i hold left stick to the right, and pop the right stick to the left.

and you pop away from the ledge.

also mess with your full/partial/no release settings. these also effect how tricks are done.

these two settings really define grinds in the game, and stock settings are probably never the best for somebody.
