Bigger map?

I played succesfully the tutorial and want to start my own game now.
But I still have the same very small map as in the tutorial.
Where is the option to choose the map size?
I can't build so much on a small map.

If you're on a recent version, you should be able to purchase new terrain chunks infinitely (well, until your CPU starts overheating). So the small / med / large maps no longer apply.

Being infinitely generated, I have to assume the map is random everytime? Is the starting area predefined? Are there settings for resource frequency, richness, terrain features?

Yes, the map is randomly generated based on some Perlin noise layering / parameter adjustments. I do have functionality to let players adjust parameters themselves, but the interface is a bit underbaked at the moment, so it'll probably be hidden on day 1 until I invest more time.

Until then, there's a large set of 'biomes' players can choose from (and multiple biomes per-map) that will randomly generate a wide range of very interesting maps.

Infinite map... +1 majorly (and something I think Satisfactory is really going wrong with). My anticipation for 13 March just went up another notch.
