What is the "Research Cost Multiplier"?
I was looking to create a more challenging game by making research more expensive so I went into the rules and changed this value but I can't figure out what it does. I was expecting that it would increase the number of research points required to learn a given technology but that doesn't seem to be it.

For example, for Farming, it costs 100 General Research Points and 100 Yellow Coins. I thought the multiplier would change this but it does not.

And I guess I have the same question about "Research Speed Multiplier". What does that affect?

I believe those are outdated from before the research overhaul, when schools would do research directly

Seems like these options were a bit neglected in the recent past. Pop consumption / happiness modifiers don't seem to be working anymore either.

I'll take a look here, I believe there's some bugs I haven't yet fixed.

What I ended up doing was going into each research one by one and increased the cost of each resource by a factor of ten. It was a tad tedious to do but not too much. Which was kinda good because the one resource I didn't want to multiply was the stars.
