Is this a bug?
I don't know if this is a bug but I encountered some mysterious things. I just started the game, played for 8h now.

- sometimes I'm missing some workers. For example, I send a worker to gather wood, and one hour or so later I don't find him anymore. I even check nearby other ressource sources, as I know they go far away if the ressource is empty, but even in the worker's list I can't find them.
Or I send a worker to bring materials to the base and later he dissapears and I wonder why I get no materials.

- yesterday I saved the game with around ~ 800 wood or so, I don't remember exactly. Now I start the game and I have.... over 1 Tsd?! I shut off the computer yesterday and it's just wood with such a high amount.

- an issue with scolling. I have 2 monitors and I can't scoll the screen if I place the mouse on the edge because the cursor then goes to the other display. This happens in fullscreen and in window mode.

Should I report these as bugs?

So I have a map with all research enabled, currently 60 of 100 homes in the supply. I started for this map 3 times and then played through. I could not determine the disappearance of people so far, also inconsistencies in the items I did not notice. Even with this size, the game runs perfectly, only a few small stuttering the automatic memory are now and then noticeable, but really worth mentioning.

But I think the developer will read this and have a look at these things.

Once I meet this problem, seems I build one building just next to woods. At the same time, a worker just on his way to send woods back to base, and he was just on the center of that building.
I built it, and the worker was covered.

But I'm not sure if I remember correctly. :steamfacepalm:

Thanks for your help.
The problem with the wood over 1 Tsd, I think its a mistake. I remember I did some things yesterday, it was late, I deleted some paths and buildings, you get the material back right? So it's possible I went from 800 over 1000. So this is no bug, just my false memory :-)

But the workers are weird.
Here is just a small example I could do right now.
In the list, it shows a wagon carrying planks, going to nowhere, it has no target:

But when I click on it, it carries grain:

Oh, yes your right. I think @Erik Asmussen will have a look of this.

I know its not much but it's the issue I could show you atm ^^

Hi! I don't think there is a disappearing worker bug - I feel like I would have heard of this sooner. Well, there is an issue where you can destroy a worker accidentally by placing a building on top of it, but that's probably not what happened to you. My guess is the worker decided to go off somewhere else to find a resource. I'll be working a lot more on worker management to make this less confusing. Of course if you do have more information about workers disappearing, I will look into it!

The wagon display bug looks odd. There is likely a bug there, will look into it.

Is the scrolling issue that there is just a very narrow range where the mouse activates the scrolling, any any further will make the cursor move to the other monitor? just curious if there is NO scrolling zone, or just if the scrolling zone is too small. (What resolution are your monitors by the way?)

Wow, there are not much devs who care like you, thank you for your help :-)
I really like the game!

To be honest, I dont know how to explain the missing worker bug. Example: I have two lumber mills and one wagon for each to bring the planks to the base. Some time later, of course the storage is full and the wagons don't do anything because it's full. Now, when you click on a building, you see the lines connected to the workers and wagons which take the materials from there or bring it there. But sometimes, when the storage is full, I don't see the lines anymore. When I look around, I see the wagon standing in front of the base, doing nothing because the storage is full. But the line connected to the lumber mill isn't there anymore so I have to re-assign it. Don't know if it is really a bug.

Thank you for looking into the wagon display bug I posted. It's not much though and it's working as intended, so it's just a display bug.

Scolling: Yes the zone is really small. I CAN scroll - if I'm very cautios to not move the mouse any further. Other games "capture" the cursor so you can't move it further than the game's window.
My resolution is 1920 x 1080. I have the scrolling issue in windowed mode and in fullscreen.

@Erik There is a disappearing worker bug. It happens to me when I place a chute (though I suppose this could work on buildings, too) just as a worker is entering that square. The chute will place as normal, but the worker will disappear.

Suggestion for the scrolling issue:
An option for keybinding so I can scroll with the keyboard would be nice!

You can use the WSAD keys for scrolling (and QE for turning the camera). I'd like to see the arrow buttons getting that function too.

I was actually coming on to report this. I've lost a bunch of workers this way - I think. It's hard to test and get a full count. I am pretty sure the disappeared workers don't return to the worker pool, also, and there doesn't appear to be a way to fix it. You're just stuck with a reduced worker cap for the rest of the game.

It's particularly annoying because due to the nature of using chutes in the early game, there's often a lot of workers around running logs or stones or grain or whatever. To be safe you kinda have to make a save before adding to the chute, or select all your workers around it and have them move away, then re-assign them when you're done.

It's a pretty bad bug, as bugs go.
