What does all of the symbolism mean? (Spoilers!)
I haven't seen this perspective, but I think that a lot of people might have missed what Little Nightmares 2 actually is trying to convey.

See, most people take it as if the story is set in the a real world, that everything that happens is actually going on, but I think that everything might be taking place inside a literal nightmare of the characters.

Mono finds Six in a Cabin of someone she lives with in order to survive, but he is, if not abusive in a physical sense, at least in a way he treats her. Mono rescues her and brings her out of the forrest and into the city he lives in and she stays with him at his house.

Mono takes her with him to school. A school that is filled with strict people and bullies. The bullies bully Six and takes her away from Mono to bully and tease her without him interfering. The teacher/s doesn't really care and just cares about dicipline. When Mono takes on the kid's face/mask, that is symbolising him showing himself as one of the kids, not a boy trying to do the right thing and ruin their fun, but just one of them, but he manages to free Six from the bullies and they leave school for the day.

The Thin Man is Mono's father, who, despite allowing Six to stay with them is a strict man and he can lashes out once he hears of them skipping school. The room Mono and Six are hiding in is a version of their own room and the drawings on the wall are their drawings. Mono hides under the bed and is too scared to do anything when his father takes Six to punish her.

The Viewers are neighbours, everyday people etc. who are too obsessed with TV to notice what children like Mono and Six are going through.

When Mono goes to free Six by destroying the Music Box, what is happening is that Six has fallen into dispair and not willing to escape. She just sits with he Music Box and Mono has to destroy it in order to wake her up and make her realise she should be escaping. When they try to run, what they are doing is essentially trying to escape to live on their own, just the two of them, with no adults to take care of them.
However, just as they are about to escape, Six sees the similarities between Mono and the Thin Man, that his father is part of him and she fears that Mono will eventually turn into just that man who mistreated her. She therefore ditches him and let's him get captured by the authorities as she herself runs out the door.
Mono then is raised by an orphanage/child services or what have you. The point is he is not raised by a loving family with friends. He therefore grows up to be just like his father, his will completely subdued.

Six manages to escape, but now there's an issue for her. Now there's nobody to take care of her. Nobody to provide for her. And a child without anyone to provide for her goes hungry...

Personally not a fan of every story being overanalyzed, but I can see how this could happen, even if it's probably not the case.

The line between analysation and overanalysation can be very blurry and it all depends on whether or not the author intended it to be analysed or not.
For the Star Wars sequels, any analysation about "what are they going to do?" was overanalysation, even if it was just an idea, because the writers and makers of those movies didn't have any plan and mocked the people who theorised things.
In other shows, it's quite the opposite. In the series Gravity Falls, to analyse and try to find out bits and pieces is fundementally a part of the series. You don't have to do it, but the writers put a lot of thought into it and want the fans to analyse and theorise.

Is Little Nigthmares a series that wants people to analyse it? I would think so.
All I have tried to point to is an idea about why things are the way they are in the world and that my answer is that it's a nigthmare version of real events.

Or maybe it just looks cool and you are thinking too hard.

I might be thinking too hard or I might be wrong because I misinterpert the signs or I might not be thinking hard enough. Closing your mind to the idea that there might be more to the surface level is a flaw in certain stories where the creators wants you to think deeper. It all depends on the creators.

As I mentioned to the other user, if the creators did not intend a deeper meaning then you shouldn't be looking into the details and draw dots, but if they did create things with an intention of bringing some hidden lore, then you looking into it and asking questions is perfectly fine.

It's nothing wrong with not wanting to theorise, but it is kind of condesending to not engage someone's thoughts and just go "You're thinking too hard about it". Then it's better to just ignore them as the reason someone does theorise is because they show interest in the lore and world and wants to know and engage more about it.

You are correct but some things could just be there to look cool. Like one puzzle could have actual meaning while another puzzle is just there but could easily be interpreted as having meaning by whoever designed said puzzle. An example of this is how adults are the ones to say "don't watch too much TV" but here they are shown to be addicted to the TV to the point of putting themselves in danger. The scene of them looking at the tower and falling down one by one I think is just meant to look cool.

did u know that when u die when u respawn the characters are waking up from a nightmare? i think the charecters are having an infinite nightmare. they keep waking up from a nightmare thinking it was a dream, but then they're there and remember. then they find out it WAS a dream, and so on. idk if it's a nightmare or real life but maybe its somthing else, not just one or the other.
