How do I walk backwards with the flashlight on pc

Absolutely loving the game so far but hit a brick wall in the form of the mannequins always getting me because my keyboard is the true nightmare in this game it seems, I can't seem to walk backwards while shining my flashlight on a mannequin.. any help/tips?

If you right-click on your mouse you can move the flashlight independently of your character's direction

WSAD to move your character, holding right mouse button to aim flashlight.

Only seemed to work while I was being chased, but I managed to finish the hospital section, thanks!

I used the arrow keys, I never knew you could use the right mouse button, is the right mouse button easier?
