frustrating controls
is anyone else having trouble with the controls in this game? it feels like a sluggish fight to control the character, and he seems to get hung up on literally everything.

the perspective, especially in outdoor areas, feels off, where there isn't a good sense of depth relative to the mostly side scrolling camera angle, meaning you 're way in "front" (to the camera) or behind where you need to be, often, with weird pacing going closer/farther.

I want to like the game and its spooky atmosphere but the controls make me want to quit

I have been playing with a controller, and I felt the same, that the controls were slow at times and the odd depth perspective made some chasing and some puzzles tricky and annoying. I have finished the game, but I didn't enjoy it that much, and the control was one of the main issues.

I 100% agree. The controls are hard to get used to and it took me awhile to get the hang of it but I thought the game was so good and charming that I forced myself to adapt. Now I don't have any issues. You'll get used to it.

I find the controls frustrating too. When you're exploring they're just fine but when you're in a chase and you have to be accurate and jump of something narrow or squeeze into one of the holes it always feels like a it's needlessly frustrating.

Nah... you have: sprint, jump, grab, crouch, call, and flashlight. But it's not that the controls are inherently too complicated (though they should've been simpler); it's how wonky and unresponsive they are.
this. it's not that I don't understand how to run and jump, its that execution is incredibly frustrating, versus, say, It Takes Two

for me the controls were extremely responsive.

I don't have the odd feeling with controls.

I found the keyboard controls insanely bad. I gave up on the hospital because the flashlight controls were just too awkward to be functional and I kept dying just because the flashlight didn't do what I was telling it to.

Yeah... This is still an issue. I gave up on the game last night because the controls doesn't work well with the camera and you constantly get stuck on small stuff. Incredibly frustrating when the game already is kind of sluggish.
I'll just watch the rest on youtube. Even left a negative review 'cause of it, which suck because I want to love it.

thankfuly they made small areas like small boards, pipes, small things like that you have to balance on easier to stay on because you cant go closer to the camera or farther from the camera.

I was literally just thinking this as I was playing. Got to the hospital and was getting so frustrated with the controls while trying to run with the flashlight that I put it down for a few months. Just decided to try playing again and got further, but the controls are killing what should be a cool spooky game.

There is definitely a sluggish responsiveness to the controls, almost like a clumsy child.
Unfortunately i have to agree to all the negative comments about the controls in the game. I am playing with mouse & keyboard and must say that the part in the hospital with the flashlight is really frustrating. I am a big fan of the game but we didn t had controls like this in Little Nightmares 1.
