Switch Pro controller issue?
When I load the game up I can't press any options on the menu as pressing either A or B brings up "Exit to Desktop?"

I'm using switch pro controller which has A/B and X/Y swapped, however this is usually handled automatically on steam's end. I think the issue is that the game is also recognising the controller (which most games don't) and therefore accepting A + B as both being pressed at the same time. Is there any way to disable the game from recognising the controller and just let steam handle it like normal?

The first game had no problems at all. I played it yesterday with no issues.

Go into Little Nightmares II Properties > Controller > Disable Steam Input. I use a Pro Controller and had the same issue as you. This worked for me. The game seems to have built in pro controller support so it all works out with steam input disabled.

Thanks for reply, I eventually figured out it works fine if I plug it in.

Thank you! This did the trick.

I tried this and it just removed my ability to use a controller all together, only allowed for mouse and keyboard.

This game code stupidly wants to take care of detecting and handling Nintendo Switch Pro Controller by itself (which results in conflict with Steam Input) instead of simply letting Steam Input to handle it, which always works on other games.

Tarsier Studios Developer team should NOT have ever wanted to manipulate this in the first place.

I tried this and it caused the game not detecting my Switch Pro Controller and not responsive to any gamepad input, and thus only mouse and keyboard can be used to play the game.

Yes, I just tried "Little Nightmares" as well, and the Nintendo Switch Pro controller does work on it without any issue.

Tarsier Studios Developer team should have just made it the same way as "Little Nightmares" then everything would be fine.

worked👍🏻
The current state of the game in both standard and enhanced is completely broken using a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. When I start the game with or without the above suggestions applied the game automatically detects the controller and inputs are automatically being "pressed". The game just starts a "New Game", first save slot, and starts without me actually pressing any buttons. This is broken.
