Probably the safest approach aswell, since i've seen rumours Supermassive are mostly trying to jump off the hype of Little Nightmares 2. Hell, that giant baby in the trailer? A rejected concept from the second game.
Exactly, that's a good aproach
I'll admit though, it is my one problem with Tarsier. They're happier leaving plot-holes open instead of actually filling them in. The comics show the plot essentially changed like 3 times before settling on what LN2 did.
As for Six, I think a tweet confirmed she became The Lady---wether or not she just goes back into the maw or something else leads into that, i'm not sure, but I do know it's the end point.
Optimistically, maybe Supermassive didnt think they could deliver a satisfying end to the original story, leading to making an original story with mirrors and co-op. Or maybe they just couldnt be arsed, or there was legal issues, or maybe they thought new characters would vibe better? I dont know.
Point is, I dont mind the new guys. So long as they're not rehashes of Mono and Six, the new flavor is something I like.
