My opinion is that the death did not ruin the ambience and that the difficultly was very well judged but I respect that this is a deeply subjective thing.
Otherwise it was fine, more enjoyable than the first IMO. Better set pieces, my daughter was captivated by the story even more than the first. Great stuff. Hope for a third (theres a prologue on play store mobile game, its also very good)
Yes it is. YOu have to circle your movements. Press A and D at the same time and move to the right. you have to try a little bit, but with some luck you can pass this section... and yes... ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ difficulty
But now I am stuck on that stupid final boss, it's so badly designed I'll probably have to dig out the controller too :( Just unplayable with keyboard atm :s
I hate it when games FORCE me to use a controller :( It should be stated on the store page that a controller is advised.
But in the end I struggled fighting the small guys in school with my hammer. Like damn you need perfect timing/positionning to get them and it made me restart a section or two like 10 times just because "oh you missed the timing by 0.5sec" "oh you were 2 millimeters off" like c'mon... I'm playing a horror/puzzle game here. The camera clearly doesn't help as it's focused on good angles for the atmosphere and is sometimes awful to as actually focus on combat. I don't need combat in such a good horror/ambiance game... not like this.
And now I end up with the mannequin and the AWFUL controls. Even with controllers when you just walk past a crawling mannequin while trying to hold the flashlight on them and "oh bummer you pressed the stick a bit too much and the mannequin could move for 0.5 sec and you're dead".
No I'm done with this ♥♥♥♥. I love puzzles, looking for how to escape but when it's all about super precise control inputs and die and retry... I might play other games that are actually good at it. Here the immersion is broken for me. I'm not enjoying the game anymore with these things happening. Bye Little Nightmares II... you disappointed me enough!
Bro u are kidding me :D
I don't know if there has been a patch since this message but for me, it was indicated in the screen that you can move the flashlight with the arrows and continue to move with WASD. It was still a pain though...but not impossible :-)
The hard parts and parts of games though right? I'm playing a game called Little Nightmares, i'm not expecting a yoga inspired puzzle game where you dont die. Comments here seem like people want minimal challenge and cant handle dying (this isnt a reflection on everyone).
I grew up playing games like Alex Kidd on Master System, the Mario games, the Sonic games ... now they were hard at times and a lot of trial by death, precise placement/jumps etc, an era with no walkthroughs/videos and when you finally cracked it, oh the elation!
Anyway, if its getting too frustrating I'd urge to stick with it but have a break, the amount of times is kinda crazy that I've been stuck on a game, gone away for half hour, come back to it and done it first time. I personally think it's definitely a game to stick with and see through till the end. Good luck, enjoy!
