the pre order hat

I pre odered the game and predownloaded it earlier today. I loaded up the game but I don't have the hat. Is there a specific thing you have to do first in order to unlock it or?

You have to play a mini puzzle game. I'm guessing you will either find it in the game itself or have to beat the game first.

I checked the menu and there isn't any "extras" option, or a chapter select for the gnome's attic.

[Remedy]

The deluxe edition stuff (including the hat) downloaded a few minutes after the base game. Check to see if yours downloaded and then just restart your game.
