MAJOR BUG. Unable to progress

Some spoilers are advised.

I've got stuck by a bug and unable to progress. Must restart the whole episode, which is annoying. To reproduce:

1. In the hospital, by the end of the Doctor sequence, you get chased by him inside a crematorium oven. Leave the oven by the lower porthole, as expected.
2. He'll slam the door trying to leave. Instead of activating the oven, go to the elevator, get propelled by Six and activate the elevator's lever. The elevator comes.
3. Go to the oven lever and activate it, killing the doctor. Step 2&3 might be interchangeable, haven't tried.
4. Instead of leaving via the elevator, try to enter the burning oven through the porthole, which gets you killed.
5. You respawn, but now both levers are lowered, the oven is shut down BUT the elevator is not in your floor. Since the lever is down, it won't come. You can't return anywhere else either, so you're stuck in that room. Resetting the game doesn't help.

FIX!!!

So this has actually worked for a 2nd bug i had. On steam, if you're playing on enhanced edition, just switch back to the normal one, and it resets the switches. Probably works the other way around too.

Ohhh dude, I've got a glitch that I just posted in another thread... in the very beginning when you team up with the little boy, a gnome is supposed to pop out of the side of a dresser to help you up a night stand in the attic....and it DOESNT. AT ALL.

Either they patched it out of the game or it's super glitched, because after restarting the game, reinstalling the game, it won't happen at all. But every walkthrough online has it happening.
