There's already somehow a full playthrough of the entire game on youtube, and sadly it is actually just 3 hours long.

Just a reminder, these playthroughs are edited and trimmed down to cut mistakes or "dead air" and are usually not the first time that the player has played the game, so they already know how to solve the puzzles.

Testing among our team had blind first-time playthroughs clock in at an average of 6-8 hours.

Obviously, it will be possible to finish the game in less time than that if you practice and run the game through multiple times, or if you've watched other playthroughs and know how to solve the puzzles.

Even completing the demo will cut down the length of your first full playthrough. It's just something to keep in mind.

what i have heard the said its double the length of the original game that was said to be 4-6 hours depending on how you play, i have heard that this game is 6-8 hours

All depends on how you play, if you got stuck or die a lot it could take around 5/6 hours. Besides, this can be more if you take your time with the collectibles or achievements. I don't think it can be finished first time in 3 hours.

Early walkthroughs is a bout 3 hours

@beEZ I think that's like, not counting if your exploring, any extra time, and so on. I think that's like head on and you know every corner of the game.

If i search little nightmare full walkthru on youtube, it's varied from 90 minutes to 2 hours...

Little nightmare 2 is longer than 1 if "early rush" walkthru average on 3 hours

ummm did you 100% the game because that took while without vids

Wait how come some of y'all are playing it 2 days early?
Roadie Feb 9, 2021 @ 9:01am
yea its not going to be more than 4-8hrs. The series has been more artsy fartsy imo. This type of game is really a visuals focused one. That is why they are so vague on plot but great to look at.

prob they got demo's and early access versions. You know to spoil the game before we can get it.
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I should have done more research :( had i known this would be a very short experience I may have held back on the deluxe edition and waited for a sale. The last game was honestly my favourite game of the decade. The length was the only part that let it down. I really was hoping for more content than the last one...

Yeah it's quite underwhelming. It seems like an amazing game don't get me wrong, but I expected more content in it, but that might be just my own fault. When they first said it would be double the size of the first game my mind instantly went to "oh, there's gonna be like 10 monsters!", and now that its out its obvious that there isn't, in fact there's only 2 additional monsters. Little nightmares 1 had 4, while little nightmares 2 has 6, its just that each monster has a bigger area.

Maybe its a problem with the marketing. The short length of the game wouldn't have been an issue if they had just held off on teasing the locations and monsters. We already knew a lot about every single monster and their full appearance long before the release, and so much gameplay had been spoiled that now it feels like playing the game is just filling in the gaps, making it less exciting and surprising and much more underwhelming since we basically already know 90% of the surprises the game has up its sleeves.

I have just finished downloading it and although I know I will enjoy the short experience I am half tempted to refund it and wait for a sale. Not to mention the fact I have just heard the main reason I bought the deluxe (for the dlc) can be completed in minutes!? There's "supporting the devs" and then there is "giving them a free pass to give us as little content for as much money as possible".
