How to walk backwards with flashlight in room with Mannequins?

I have now struggled to figure out on pc how to get my character to walk backwards while i can aim my flashlight on Mannequins, but had no luck and cannot get this done. So instead i keep getting caught since they move to fast and catches me before i get chance to escape.

I have been googling around for an answer but every damn answer just tells me how to do it on controller/console but it does not tell me how to do this thing on a plain keyboard for PC! so right now i'm getting no where because of no one out there explaining how to exactly do this on a PC.

So i hope some 1 here has the answer for my question since if i don't get an answer i will never finish this section of game!

Does not work, it aims flashlight forward, i want character to walk backwards and aim flash light at them. But instead it walks forward and keeps flashlight forward. That's why i need a solution to this.

I have seen a youtube video where player gets character to walk backwards and easily aim on the mannequins while moving backwards. But i cannot get this to be done when doing it on pc.

..yep. what a bummer. I'm stuck on that level as well. Playing KB/M. Mono is not fast enough under the bed and has to aim the flashlight on them to stop them. The trick is to walk backwards, while aiming FL on them. BUT YOU CANT>> Tried everything. The devs didn't incorporate walking backwards in squat position. At least not for PC.

it seems us on PC cannot walk backwards with keyboard. But if you use controller it seems to work. Which is strange way to do.

You can do it with k+m, you just have to keep aiming the flashlight the whole time.

you dont need your mouse for m+k use arrow keys for flashlight. and wasd for movement.

i don't think any of you two read what i wrote, you cannot aim backwards. Character can only run forward. so aiming back is not possible that is main problem, i want character to run back wards and same time facing the dolls so i can aim light towards them. This can be done by using a xbox controller or so apparently. But i cannot get this to work with keyboard and mouse.

What I did was pointed the flashlight in front of me while walking backwards (I think the keys to point are the arrow keys). Got close to the end of the hall where one single one kinda almost blocks the way, then turned the light on it, ran passed him, then turned back around to keep them all still.

That's probably the second hardest part of this game, tbh

It's easier to actually go backwards when the mannequins are actually there. I had the same issue and was stuck on it for a while. But if you press the right arrow button and press a at the same, you should be able to walk backwards. Just remember to keep using the arrow keys to point the flashlight at the mannequins.
