Top of rook missing

Just got through the library and the tip of the piece isn't next to the base outside the door. I've restarted the checkpoint and the game. All that's left is loading the chapter. What kind of glitch is this? I didn't have this happen on the normal version.

same here just bought the game and checked all the walk-troughs, the head piece is suppose to be next to it but is not? I am now also stuck and unsure what to do next?

i ended up restarting using the chapter select menu after about an hour, when i got back to that point the head was there.
