Report a translation problem
I can run BFV, BF2042 and Warzone on 1080p@60FPS at decent Settings but here i can't even get Stable 50 FPS on 720p with all Settings turned to LOW or NO.
I think it might be the 3D Foliage. No other game i played had 3D Foliage, except at Ultra Settings. At mid and long range, it doesn't make any sense to load so many Vertices.. A huge Optimisation oversight by the Devs. There's something called LOD, might wanna look into it.
If i tab out of the game, and then back in.. I can't get more than 5 FPS for like 20-30 minutes regardless of the settings. There's no point of having a GPU when the game itself is CPU intensive.
One game launched in 2018 and the other 2021. I understand your frustration but this isn't our issue. Let me know if I can help though. We might be able to source you a better video card.
As Roberto mentioned above, other users are getting stable gameplay on GTX 970.. Yet my GTX 1650 Super OC (which performs 20% better than the latter) isn't even being utilised. Ontop of that, loading so many vertices just to render 3D Foliage (which you can't even turn down) at all distances is an extremely bad optimisation decision. I mentioned other issues as well on Discord, and what do the devs do about it? "We don't support that Hardware" and call it a day. Extremely Poor Support and Neglecting Devs.. When i heard about their other game about fighting Robots, i was excited to look for it but after their Responses, i know why it died so quick. The Core i5-13th Gen CPU and GTX 1080 GPU Min Requirement is a really big Indicator of the carelessness and inexperience from the Devs.
This will always be the answer by any developers. We aren't responsible for your hardware. (Honestly we wish we COULD solve your problems)
I have been very nice and willing to help you find better hardware even. So for you to say we "called it a day" is also not true. I am here and I have offered my help. The door is open and remains open. We could probably even source you a better card from the community.
I understand you are disappointed you can't play the game but letting you nerf the foliage so you can play on below spec hardware isn't the answer.
I acknowledge and appreciate how frustrating it is.
PS there is no game about fighting robots. I was one of the founders of squad which sold about 5-6 million copies.
Well, you tell me then.. Is it optimal to load 3D foliage at all Distances including where you can't even tell the depth especially thanks to the permanent DOF?
I didn't ask you to nerf the Graphics, nor do i want pity. I'm here to report an Issue, i mean look at the Discussion Title. It's about optimisation.
As for the Discord Ticket, i explained the issue. And i was responded with "Your hardware is below spec though players have been reported using 970". And when i mentioned the fact that my hardware performs better than the 970, the only response i got was "Sorry but I'm using below Spec Hardware, and i can no longer Help"
My dude, the game isn't even using the GPU.. Rather than asking for more information and suggestions to at least attempt to debug the problem, you just don't even want to deal with it. It's only gonna help you gain more players.
The only thing i got further (as above) is the comparison among AAA Titles and a Game with 3 Devs. Whether a game is AAA or not, almost all games (even if they're low-poly) use LODs.
The game shouldn't need to Load, Process or Render stuff that i cannot see or understand. I don't need to see every Grass Blade 3 Km Away, i don't need to see every Pebble on the Road behind the Treeline... Maybe use 2D/Low-Res Resources at Distances and Unload those that aren't Visible??
And ontop of that, all this is being processed by the CPU rather than the GPU which is what it's designed to do. But nope, you don't even want to use any more braincells 'cause you don't have any left over.
About the Robot Fighting Game, I'm talking about "Subtype Grounds", don't pretend that it doesn't exist.

About SQUAD, Congratulations on that.. I really wanna get SQUAD and HELL LET LOOSE (I'm surprised it's by different Devs with such similarities) but they are never cheap enough on sale. 1 USD is like 350 in my Currency so, yeah.
Actually I had nothing to do with subtype grounds so I wasn't aware thats what you were refering to. That was a prototype project that was never released as far as I know. I never played it so I can't comment.
I know you are trying to explain the 3d objects like you have a deep understanding of the rendering pipeline but grass renders about 50m and is 2d cut out planes for the most part. Nanite takes care of the most of the rest of the large foliage and no longer employs 2d bill boards. (this was one the old ways to render far off foliage).
As for the game not using your gpu.. you need to learn a bit more and think that through about bottle-necking and what could be the issue before the GPU to cause under utilization. It nice that you read a bunch of stuff though. You are learning.
And as they say.. no sense preaching to the Choir.. If you know better and I lack brain cells get out there and show me. (btw I am not offended, Way too old to be offended)
