30 $ for an extraction shooter EARLY ACCESS. This is a tripple whammy of making sure nobody touches it.
Realistially a game like this in a oversaturated market like Extraction shooters could maybe pull 200 players if it went Free to play, but selling it for 30 bucks is almost arrogant lol. Either this game has been in development too long and missed the release window of Extraction being 'in' or they have to do some serious introspection on how they plan to survive in this current market.
Our player base will come, without a doubt. Squad started off the same way, its a slow process. Of course, we may have a few slow day regrading player counts, but I have 100% faith that Exfil will not die any time soon.
Trust the process. It is only upward and onward from here on out!
Yeah right, while everyone plays PoE2 somebody surely will play this. good luck with that fam
Squad had 3.5K players on their EA launch. https://steamdb.info/app/393380/charts/#max
Add PvE asap.
Reduce price.
Neither actually. we are self funded and have decided to build it live with the community. As they say.. proof is in the pudding! We are ok with people standing by and watching the process. Some of the new guys have put in 40+ plus hours this week so they are certainly enjoying the experience. (I have about 40 myself this past 2weeks)
We will build up the base with free weekends and sales along with our publishing partner. Think of it as an inverted model. We did the same with "squad" and it worked out fine. Just a different way to bake a cake.
Thanks for the sentiments though! Cheers!
and then it crashed to about 600 players and barely 3-4 servers full. I was there.. I founded it. I watched the numbers every day to a point of obessesion. :)
It also taught me you can build a base just fine afterwards.
Being completely transparent we have incredibly humble goals. As a 4 man team it's incredibly easy to stay afloat self funded with a good partner (Microprose). So even minimal velocity feeds our families and moves us forward just fine.
2025 - AI npcs for Coop, SP and PvP and Scenario editing. Then people can make missions.. player whatever they like.
I would buy the game tommorow if it offered a single player experience. I've been playing gray zone like a single player game and it is not always fun. I want a good SP game like this so bad I'm considering buying tarkov just for the SP mod.
